Eric, It is true that "we all knew" that Michael Barret's Interim position at Liberty would be made permanent, but the announcement is still "news" to the normal journals. Formulas are formulas, cut 'em some slack - they have to earn food for their kids after all.
It's all they know, since they still haven't really figured out what Liberty is doing yet. Besides, the press release also added an "oh by the way" that there are 26 new members, including "boring companies" like banks, drug companies, utilities. It also quietly noted that HP has stepped up its interest in Liberty. Can you say momentum?
