Funny thing, perception. I was in the same room as this guy when Bill Gates gave this speech -- and I heard *none* of what he's talking about.
Now, I don't mind a little "perspective journalism" (I do it myself), but at some point I have to wonder if the journalist's personal hatred of something isn't causing bias to the point of non-sense.
Combine this piece with Orlowski's slamming of O'Reilly's Emerging Tech Conference, and you begin to think that The Register's modus operandi is now to bash, condescend and trash....kinda like the Gossip Rags -- with about the same level of integrity.
