A Scanner Skips the ID Card and Zeroes In on the Eyes
This NYT article (reg required) talks about the implementation of iris-scanning technology in the Amsterdam airport:
Every year, millions of travelers pass through Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport. For most of them, waiting at the passport-inspection counter is part of the routine. But about 7,000 frequent travelers have a way to speed up the process.
